Christmas Food for Thought
Problem 🍽️
The Christmas of 2022 was anything but typical. Not just because it hosted a World Cup in the midst of winter, but due to armed conflicts like those in Ukraine and Afghanistan, which led to a refugee crisis of 103 million people.
Insight 🌍
Lisbon is one of the most multicultural cities in the world, and people come from all corners of it to visit Time Out Market in search of the most typical food. But if food tells us stories, could we use it to tell a different story about what's happening on the other parts of the world?
Solution 🎄
In collaboration with UNHCR Portugal, we invited six chefs from the market to create a solidarity menu with dishes inspired by the stories of six people who had to flee their countries and found refuge in Portugal.
